Pictures’ The Round Table Chronicles film adaptation, directed by Guy Ritchie. In addition to Hunnam, the cast would include Jude Law, Djimon Hounsou, Aidan Gillen, Morgan Freeman and Djimon Hounsou. On June 16, 2015, it was announced that Hounsou and Freeman had joined the cast of the film. On January 29, 2017, Hunnam, Law, Gillen, Hounsou and Chaplin, along with Ritchie and producer Jerry Bruckheimer, participated in a media panel at the National Board of Review for the film. Hounsou was present to promote his upcoming Disney film Black Panther. Hunnam later revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that the film was going to be his last and that he was ready to move on to different projects. Casting On October 25, 2014, Djimon Hounsou was cast as Mordred, the half-brother of King Arthur and archenemy of the Knights of the Round Table. Hounsou later joined the film's cast as King Arthur.
